indy international
There is more to currency than its monetary value. Nikolai Hill, founder of INDY International, loved currency because he loved world history. He knew we could all learn so much about a country by its currency: what they value, their economic priorities, their change in leadership, etc..
Even the size of the bill varies from country to country. Imagine something as simple as an everyday object like a wallet, is different country to country, based on the size of the notes.
You can purchase a currency pack in person at The Lucky rabbit or from our online Store!
Our tips, on how to fully experience world currency:
Origin Location
Print Details
Value changes
Follow the journey
Use a translation app (ex: Google Translate) and discover the country of origin
Look up facts and details about the bill: date of printing, leader on the note, various imagery and all its meanings, history around that time of printing, etc…
Look up your note value compared to other world currencies, and how has that value changed? Why has it changed?
Is the bank note new or old? Does it have writing on it? Imagine where this bill has been. Who held it? Where were they going? What were they doing? What did they buy with it? How did it come to be in your hand, at this very moment?
